For followers of SteampunkAnachronism, here is the tumblr corporate shill that explains the BLACK. If they REALLY want to donate, why not just go ahead and give a dollar for every tumblr that has a blog that’s shown activity in since the spill started?
Also, every time this post has been reblogged, tumblr has been promoting itself by sending out a tweet. I just removed that before reblogging. THIS IS STRICTLY A PROMOTION FOR TUMBLR that they are getting YOU to pay half the cost of.

Why is it that anytime someone tries to do something good, people have to shit all over it? Tumblr is raising money, awareness, and motivating us to get more involved in this very real disaster of epic proportions. I may have some issues with them not animating gifs, but I do not think the tumblr staff would use this as an excuse to promote the site. Have a little more faith in humanity. Geez.
I’ve also seen people say that they won’t donate a dime because BP should pick up the tab for fixing this. I agree…they should. But this is way beyond making sure a devious oil company takes responsibility for their fuck up. Our ocean is in serious jeopardy. There is no time for pride. There is no time to point fingers. We need to fix this shit, even if it is at our own cost. Being able to blame BP for this mess will be of little consolation when the damage to our environment becomes even more irreprable. If you have the money, donate it. If you don’t, educate yourself. There may be other ways you can contribute. BP is evil. We get it. But let’s flog them after our ocean is no longer 87 octane.

so i’m gonna be making shirts against drugs. (hardy har har) but really, i want these shirts to be for my town. the whole drug thing is just getting so bad here. with oxyheads and everything. so i want to make some cool designs that people would wanna wear instead of those lame ones i usually see. we’ll see how this goes.
